Cal Olivier is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and looper. His music is a fusion of roots, folk, and reggae. His songs range from spiritual to whimsical. Olivier also performs a variety of covers, all with done with a unique take. The Fickle Souls are a rotating collective of family and friends, who share a love for music and community. Over the years, Cal has shared the stage and studio with names such as Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Tommy Tutone, Greg Hawkes (The Cars), Rehab, Steel Pulse, Keller Williams, John Paul White (The Civil Wars), along with many more. Grassroots Kava House is stoked to partner with Mark "Boltz" Boltwood to invite everyone to Rootimentary, an art show showcasing his creative works on Friday, January 17, from 7 PM to 10 PM!! As a 7-year resident of St. Petersburg, originally from the Bradenton and Anna Maria area, Mark's lifelong passion for art and over three decades of skateboarding have deeply influenced his journey. The show will feature an eclectic collection of works created from recycled skateboards and a variety of other materials and mediums, including engraving art, sculptures, paintings, repurposed furniture, and more. Attendees can expect to see collaborative pieces that reflect the interconnectedness of art and its role in shaping his perspective and interactions with the world. We can't wait to host this exciting evening of art, skateboarding, music, and good vibes. Live music will be provided by Audrey Short, with additional surprises to make the night even more memorable! Gossamer Wings is a Tampa band focused on singing jazz standards and playing great jazz solos. They've been performing as part of the Grassroots Kava House Ybor community since the beginning! Their style is a mix of swing, bossa nova, and ballads. You'll get to know all 3; bass guitar, vocalist, and piano and fall in love.
